Here’s Why The 2019 Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 Is The Muscle Car You’ve Been Waiting For
The 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 is finally available at a Dodge dealership near you. This wild muscle car might just be the best vehicle we’ve seen all year–you don’t want to miss your chance to drop in and check it out.
The 2019 Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 is the latest drag-oriented beast in the Dodge Demon family. And if you’ve been waiting to get your hands on a Demon vehicle but always seem to balk at the price of these insanely powerful cars, the new Scat Pack 1320 is your chance to scoop one up without emptying your bank account.
We’ll put it this way: If you spend your afternoons daydreaming in your cubicle about starting a new career as a grassroots drag racer, the R/T Scat Pack 1320 trim was pretty much made for you.
“All it takes is an evening spent at a local drag strip to learn that the grassroots drag-racing community is large and extremely loyal to their cars,” Fiat-Chrysler executive Steve Beahm said in a recent statement. “We created the Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 for the heart of the sport, the bracket racer who wants to drive to the track, suit up, go fast, and go home with a big smile and maybe a trophy in the trunk with minimal prep and upkeep.”
The 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 comes with a 392 Hemi V-8 that generates 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque when paired to its TorqueFlight eight-speed automatic transmission. This street-legal drag car features an SRT-tuned adaptive damping suspension with drag mode, line lock, TransBrake, torque reserve, and empty-duty 41-spline half shafts. The vehicle comes standard with Nexen SUR4G Drag Spec 275/40R20 street-legal drag radial tires.
And before you ask–yes, the Scat Pack 1320 trim comes with a driver’s seat, but the passenger seat and back seat are optional.
Starting at $45,980, the 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 will get you the most muscle for your buck. It’s more affordable than the Demon, the Hellcat, or even the SRT 392 variants of the Challenger, but still manages to pack in tons of desirable features.
The R/T Scat Pack comes with a new performance grille with dual air inlets, a new Scat Pack bee badge on the decklid, a new instrument panel, and new cloth performance seats. The vehicle is available in a range of glossy, gorgeous exterior colors including B5 Blue, Destroyer Grey, F8 Green, Go Mango, Granite Crystal, IndiGo Blue, Maximum Steel, Octane Red, Pitch Black, Plum Crazy, TorRed, Triple Nickel and White Knuckle.
