Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock Is Fully Loaded but Comes With a Big Price
Dodge recently introduced the 2021 Dodge Challenger SRT® Super Stock. The latest and quickest drag racing machine yet, the Super Stock dominates the quarter mile. Receiving its name from the Super Stock class of modified passenger cars in drag racing, this model is both the oldest and quickest coupe in its class, according to Dodge.
Power and Performance
With the same supercharged 6.-2-liter V-8 engine as the Dodge Challenger SRT® Hellcat Redeye, the Challenger SRT® Super Stock produces an impressive 807 horsepower and 707 lb.-ft. of torque. This power means it can reach 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds, and it takes only 10.5 seconds to reach a quarter mile with a trap speed of 131 mph. It’s top speed is 168 mph, and the 2021 model has a recalibrated shift point from 6,3000 rpm to 6,4000 rpm, making it a drag strip monster.
Body
With the new engine, the Challenger SRT® Super Stock added immense power, but with other elements, it gets even more. Under the widebody fender flares, it features 18-inch wheels surrounded by thick 315-section-width Nitto NT05R drag radials, which were also used on the Dodge Demon. These grippy tires, along with the newly calibrated suspension, adds even more quickness and flexibility to the racer. Similar to the Demon, the front suspension of the Super Stock is set for firm compression and soft rebound in Track Mode, which allows the vehicle to transfer as much load as possible to the rear to increase quickness.
Super Stock Cost
While the Dodge Challenger SRT® price starts low with the base model and lower trims, the Challenger Super Stock is the highest trim level, starts at $79,595 but can reach up to $96,851 with extra features and packages.
Style might cost you a little more. While all thirteen paint colors come with the cost, you can pay extra for certain exterior design elements. Over-body stripes will add an extra $995, while painted satin black graphics on the hood, roof, and trunk will cost $3,495. On the cheaper end, black hood pins will be an extra $425, black calipers will be an extra $595, and the SRT® Performance Spoiler will add $995.
You can also upgrade your interior features. A power sunroof will be an extra $1,995, while navigation will cost $995 and a Harmon Kardon sounds system with eighteen speakers will be $1,795. Additionally, you can enhance the vehicle’s premium feel with Laguna Leather or Alcantara for $1,795 or stick with the Carbon/Suede Interior package with real carbon interior accidents and a suede headline for $1,595. If your needs are exclusively drag-strip-oriented, you can purchase the rear seat deletion option for just $1.
