Recently, Jeep introduced the new 2021 Jeep Cherokee redesign of the stylish 4-door compact SUV. The 2021 Jeep returns with a revised model lineup that will include a new buzzy special edition model, as well as several new security and safety features through the lineup’s models. Designed with purpose, the 2021 Cherokee combines contemporary design with deep ties to its heritage. It blends classic and modern style with a new striking front fascia, LED headlamps, and the unmistakable seven-slot grille.
2021 Jeep Cherokee Lineup
With several different models, the new Cherokee offers everything you need in a vehicle. The Jeep Cherokee Latitude includes power front windows, exterior mirrors with a heating element, supplemental turn signals, and courtesy lamps. Offering a slight upgrade, the Latitude Plus adds heated front seats, premium-wrapped heated steering wheel, remote start, and a windshield wiper de-icer. A brand-new model, the Latitude LUX offers even more luxury with Nappa leather seats, power front seats with a power lumbar adjuster on top of the other features of the Latitude Plus. One of the most exciting trim levels, the 2021 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk features an off-road capable four-wheel drive system and extra ground clearance for rocky trails.
Finally, the Jeep Cherokee 80th Anniversary limited edition model delivers the most luxury with a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 19-inch aluminum wheels with Granite Crystal finish, power front seats with lumbar, dual-zone temperature control, remote start, an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen radio, a 7-inch full-color display, and commemorative exterior badging. Additionally, 2021 Jeep Cherokee interior for this edition will include Anodized Gun Metal interior accents, black headliners, Berber floor mats, and premium leather seats with Light Tungsten accent stitching.
The 2021 Cherokee offers twelve available exterior colors, including Billet Silver, Bright White, Diamond Black Crystal, Granite Crystal, Hydro Blue (which is exclusive to the 80th Anniversary edition), Light Brownstone, Olive Green, Sangria, Slate Blue, Spitfire Orange, Sting Grey, and Velvet Red.
2021 Jeep Cherokee Performance
Depending on the model you select, the Cherokee offers three choices of engine. The standard is a 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engine that produces 180 horsepower and 171 lb.-ft. of torque. Available on The Latitude Plus and standard on the Latitude LUX, the Trailhawk, and the Limited is a 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 engine that produces 271 horsepower and 239 lb.-ft. of torque. It also has an impressive towing capacity of 4,500 lbs. Lastly, the top engine is a 2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 270 horsepower, 295 lb.-ft. of torque, and 4,000 lb. towing capacity. All options come standard with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
With a Jeep “Trail Rated” badge, the 2021 Cherokee Trailhawk is an off-road oriented model that offers unmatched off-road capability. Featuring the Jeep Active Drive Lock 4×4 system, the Trailhawk has an aggressive front fascia, an improved approach angle, an anti-glare hood decal, and standard red tow hooks. Additionally, it features a rear locker for additional off-roading traction, a 51.2:1 crawl ratio, and the Selec-Terrain Traction Management System with a Rock Mode.
