The Jeep Renegade is a subcompact SUV that has seating for up to five people. This vehicle offers you a comfortable riding experience and an excellent off-road performance. The Renegade can be home to a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 180-horsepower, or it could house a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine that gives you 177-horsepower. This vehicle has great off-road features like skid plates, tow hooks, all-terrain tires, and a Selec-Terrain management system.
You can get a lot from the Jeep Renegade, but for 2021, there may be an exciting new special edition of the Renegade that will be called the Jeepster.
CarBuzz talks about the history of the ‘Jeepster’ name, “For a long time, there were rumors that Jeep was planning to revive the iconic Jeepster moniker. The Jeepster name was first used by Willys-Overland back in 1948 for a passenger car that was designed to appeal to the masses. Production of the original Jeepster ended just two years later in 1950 before the name was later revived in 1966 for the C-101 Jeepster Commando, which stayed in production until 1972.”
This Jeepster name is coming back in a new way as a special edition for the Jeep Renegade. This specific model will bring you special features like 19-inch granite-painted aluminum wheels, all-season tires, and Jeepster door decals. You can also expect interior features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, black cloth seats, metal diamond speaker covers, a 7-inch touchscreen display, and more.
This Jeep Renegade Jeepster special edition will be something to watch out for in 2021, but it won’t be the only 2021 Renegade special edition.
