Ram Creates “Built to Serve” Edition
In 2019, Ram announced that it was creating Built to Serve Editions of the Ram 1500. These special edition trucks were being created to honor the United States Armed Forces. These special edition trucks were launched on Veteran’s Day, but now Ram is making more Built to Serve special edition trucks.
Ram wants to create a Built to Serve special edition truck to honor each of the five branches of the United States Armed Forces. The US Army editions were already created, and the next trucks will be the US Navy. These will be followed by Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard editions all with different exterior colors. A new model will be released about every three months.
According to Truck Trend, “The first trucks to be offered honored the U.S. Army and were available in Gator Green or Diamond Black. Only 1,000 of each were produced. In conjunction with Flag Day, which lands on June 14, 2020, Ram is introducing the second in the run of five Built to Serve Edition trucks. This second wave of trucks will honor the U.S. Navy and be offered in a nautical-themed Ceramic Gray or Patriot Blue, both also limited to just 1,000 units.”
Each of these different Built to Serve trucks has different exterior colors, but they all have the same interior features. On the inside of the Built to Serve Editions, you can find interior accents like Built to Serve embroidered seat panels, a Built to Serve instrument cluster, American flag accents, and Velcro front seat panels for patches.
In addition to the great looks of these Built to Serve Editions, they are going to have a great performance. These trucks are going to have off-road features to have the ability to take on tough terrain. They will have features like skid plating, all-terrain tires, an electronic locking rear differential, tow hooks, and heavy-duty shock absorbers.
